That very question ROCKED MY WORLD and although I had many great intentions, I realized that there have been many times since I’ve started studying personal growth relentlessly that I still tend to go unconscious with my thoughts and actions from time to time.

However what if we started to log these ideas down? Capture each day in as much detail as we possibly could? Have a place to come to to remind us of these ideas? This is why keeping a journal is ABSOLUTELY CRUCIAL to your future success…

Are you starting to see the importance of keeping a journal?

Keeping a journal has definitely been a life changing exercise for me as it gives me the ability to go back as many times as I need to learn the lessons I have gathered from each and every day. This change in mindset has opened doors for me that I never would have thought were possible. Keeping a journal has enabled me to see the good in everything I encounter regardless of how bad I interpret it to be at that moment in time.

To Recap Here’s Why You Need To Start Keeping A Journal…

1) Keeping a journal will allow you to capture the past and make it more valuable. All the quotes you hear, the books you read, the seminars you attend, the people you meet, the classes you enroll in, these experiences are all VALUABLE! Every time you experience something that you feel is valuable, WRITE IT DOWN!

2) Keeping a journal will allow you to capture the past and invest it in your future. At one point or another we’ve all had those times when we wish we didn’t do something or that we could go back and change what we did. Instead of beating yourself up over these experiences, what if you started to write these mistakes down and learn from the lessons you gather from each one? What if you had a place of reference to come back to and remind yourself of the lesson you gained from this mistake? Don’t you think that that would be of value to you?

3) Keeping a journal will enable you to get FROM the day rather than getting THROUGH the day. Despite all the gifts and values that we have at our disposal, there are still people today that decide to take the “ho hum” attitude. While I don’t know the mystery behind this, what I can tell you is that THIS DOESN’T HAVE TO BE YOU!

Keeping a journal will be a treasure that you can pass on to your children and a equity that you can give to someone else that can make your legacy live on! You see your life doesn’t have to be the same anymore…You can decide RIGHT NOW to start looking for the good in each and every moment and begin to start recording these experiences each and every day.

Imagine what your life will look like once you begin to capture all that you possibly can and go back to reflect upon it. Imagine how this simple practice of keeping a journal could change your life…

What I STRONGLY suggest you do to get this new practice of keeping a journal started off with a bang, is to go back through some of these posts that I have up here on this blog and find the value contained with each post. Record what you have learned in your journal and if you find yourself getting pulled off track, go back and re-read what you have recorded to remind yourself of the lesson.I promise you that keeping a journal will forever change your life and will make you appreciate each and every moment…

The Secret To Happiness

Today we live in a society where our perceptions and points of view have become clouded. Since the time we were children, we’ve been programmed to operate primarily from our senses to make judgments upon things outside of us. In other words, we’ve been taught to live from the outside in.

Yet what I find extremely interesting is that in every religion, whether you believe in Christianity, Judaism, Buddhism, Taoism, Hinduism, etc., they say that the secret to happiness comes from within.

This might seem contradictory to our western intellect because as we were growing up, institutions have tried to convince us that the secret to happiness can only be attained by accumulating outside materialistic things which presumably are supposed to make our lives better and simpler. If this is the case however, why do we still continue to see so many people today that are totally depressed even though we live in one of the most AMAZING times in history?

The secret to happiness as simple and profound as it is, tends to elude the masses. While intellectually it might make total sense to feel happiness, contentment, and fulfillment right now in the present moment, we’ve been so programmed in our society and in our culture that these emotions and feelings are only to be obtained by accumulating more and more.

The Secret To Happiness

Yet how many times have you noticed or heard of stories of people that are multi-millionaires and have everything they possibly could ever want, however they are completely and totally depressed?

After watching the film “The Gods Must Be Crazy”, I realized at that very moment that I didn’t need ANYTHING in order to feel happy. I realized that even if my current circumstances were 10x worse, I could still choose to feel happiness, joy, contentment, and fulfillment, literally the click flick of a switch.

Seeing how the bushmen tribes lived really made me understand that the true values in life don’t come  from social status, positions of power, nor materialistic things, but rather the true values come from community, gratitude for what is, and a loving and joyful appreciation for this gift we call life.

You may be saying to yourself, “Okay well I understand that I can choose to feel happiness at any moment but right now I just had my house foreclosed on, I lost my job, and my spouse left me. How am I supposed to feel happy?”

Remember, the secret to happiness comes from knowing that everything in your life is completely and totally perfect, it just depends on the meaning you attach to it.

The secret to happiness is entirely dependent upon what you choose to focus on in your life. If you lost your spouse, you can choose to feel terrible about it or you can say, “Although I don’t like this now I have the opportunity to start a new meaningful relationship.”

Regardless whether you are currently aware of this or not, you are in COMPLETE and TOTAL control of what you focus on. This ability has always been within you, it is your job to develop it to it’s fullest potential. Once you understand this and cultivate this ability, the secret to happiness will be yours forever…

How To Put The Secret To Happiness Into Practice

While there is numerous methods of application, here are my suggestions on how you can begin putting the secret to happiness into practice:

1) Relax your hold on things that you feel are important. The tighter you hold onto them, the faster they will leave you.

2) Feel complete and total gratitude for where you currently are in your life right now and place no judgment upon your outside circumstances.

3) FEEL GOOD NOW! Choose to feel the job, the appreciation, the contentment, and fulfillment right now. Channel that energy into whatever you are passionate about and watch as your life begins to change as a result.

There’s no doubt about it, Facebook Marketing is one of the BEST mediums out there today to market yourself and your business on…providing that you know what you’re doing of course.  I see so many people out there today that think they have to spend hours upon hours on Facebook in order to grow their business. On average I spend maybe around 20-30 minutes per day on Facebook Marketing and THAT’S IT! And really that’s all you need to be spending as well providing that you have the right strategies to put into action.

Facebook Marketing is a lot easier than you are probably thinking it is at this very moment…

The biggest problem that most people have when they are trying to market their business, is that they think they have to find the most COMPLICATED method because they think that if they are doing something that is exotic, then that will bring good results.

The truth is that sometimes the simplest strategies yield the best results and take FAR less time once you understand them and start putting them into HIGH ACTION in your business.

I remember when I was first getting started in this industry and I figured that I HAD to learn EVERYTHING there was to know about Facebook Marketing within my first few weeks. I took course after course, training after training, read virtually any ebook that I could get my hands on yet, it didn’t feel like anything was happening…

I had all this knowledge at my disposal yet I wasn’t putting it into action which caused me A LOT of unneeded frustration and information overload. I’m not sure if you’ve had that type of experience but believe me, it’s not a much fun (especially if you are struggling to make money online).

What I soon discovered was that before I went out there and tried to discover the exotic, I first had to MASTER the basic. I had to commit myself to picking one marketing strategy and doing NOTHING ELSE until I became good at doing that marketing strategy.

Facebook Marketing is no different. My advice to anyone when they are first getting started is to simply pick one marketing strategy and commit yourself to it for at least 6 weeks until they start generating consistent leads from that strategy. Then and ONLY then should you move onto another strategy.
